Hellooo! This is a bit of a different post for today as it is my 100th blog post! I thought I'd take a look back at my favourite shows and albums I've written about over the past few years! My very first post was a Favourites Friday review of Irresistible by Fall Out Boy featuring Demi Lovato way back on 8th January 2016! I haven't always been the most consistent blogger however, since the start of 2019 I've fallen into the pretty successful routine of posting twice a week, which I'm hoping to keep up!
I've been to SO many theatre productions and gigs since starting my blog, many of which I have written reviews of and you can find the full list here! I've seen everything from local theatre company productions right up to massive West End shows and everything in between! Studying at the University of Huddersfield meant that I was close to theatres hosting touring shows in Bradford, Leeds and Manchester! I loved visiting the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford and saw shows including The Addams Family, The Band and Funny Girl and LOVED all three of them! Towards the end of my degree, the Wicked UK
Tour stopped at Leeds Grand Theatre and of course, I had to go and see it not once, but four times! Wicked is my absolute favourite show and I was lucky enough to see it in all four levels of the theatre, (stalls, dress circle, upper circle and balcony) including the front row of the stalls! I also visited the Manchester Palace Theatre for various shows including the emotional rollercoaster of Miss Saigon! I also saw a local production of Made In Dagenham at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield which I LOVED and plenty of shows at the Grimsby Auditorium such as Rock of Ages, Fame and Dirty Dancing!
Along with theatre productions, I also love going to gigs! I haven't written as many gig reviews as I have theatre reviews however, I'm aiming to write some 'throwback' blog posts about gigs I've been to in the past! The first concert I wrote a review of was when I was lucky ​​enough to get VIP meet and greet tickets to see Lawson, who I am a HUGE fan of! I've also seen The Vamps three times now and have so far written posts about the second and third times I went! The Vamps are always amazing live and I COULD NOT BELIEVE I managed to get front row tickets for their Four Corners UK Tour a few weeks ago!
As well as all these live shows, I've also written plenty of blog posts about albums I've enjoyed listening to and I've loved keeping the Favourites Friday format going throughout my blogging journey! One thing that's changed over the years is that I've started buying and collecting more vinyl lately! I have a bit of a wish list I've been working my way through, with plenty of those being limited edition however, I've managed to tick a few off lately! I recently bought the Moana Record Store Day 2017 Picture Disc which I'd been wanting to get for a while and was SO excited to finally have it!
All in all, I've loved blogging over the past few years and thank you if you've ever read any of my posts! It's taken me a while to reach 100 posts but I'm hoping it won't take me as long to reach 200!
